Abstract

The modern era has evolved new ways of learning. English as an international language is no more learnt in traditional classroom but in a web-based environment that ensures viable and best learning amongst the learners. The
advancement in learning setting in the English Language Teaching (ELT) classroom offers such opportunities and improves the level of listening skills, speaking skills and presentation skills of the learners. The possibility of new techniques enhances the idea to broaden the possibility of rapid learning and provides the positive and virtual material to the learners in a virtual learning environment. This research paper, in particular, touches these aspects of the modern approach of teaching English Language as a second language and discusses the assorted advantages of the ELT podcasts, the audio programs on websites are generally updated at regular intervals. It throws light on how a group of English language learners, which was encouraged for listening and producing ELT podcasts in the language classroom. This research paper brought the advantages of new methods to be adopted in teaching-learning of English Language. It also provides information of latest learning settings which conduce to feasible learning and enthralls the mind towards addressing and focusing on revision of traditional teaching methods and unfolds the idea that students’ learning in English Language should be viewed in a new perspective. Besides these, the paper also presents several reasons for using podcasts along with related activities in a language classroom to learn English easily, quickly, and automatically by the learners.
