| Abstract | ||
The purpose of this paper was to provide a definition of social exclusion as well as to explain gender gap that exists in schooling. Social exclusion is a universal concept which encompasses deprivation economically, socially and politically. It is practice of preventing some people or groups from fully participating in the society in which they live, either entirely or in part, by denying them the chance to participate in that society. It is the responsibility of society as a whole to create institutions, structures, and procedures based on equal opportunity, which it sees as a counterbalance to exclusion. |
