| Abstract | ||
The Maharashtra state in India is one of the largest & biggest in population as well as area concern. This state is also comes in the list of most progressive, prosperous and development in the country in terms of education, economy, technology & infrastructure. It seems unproblematic at prima facie but it’s not the case and it has much underdevelopment & imbalances inside. The analysis of this research shows us that the less effective planning & development structure has affected largely to weaken its backward regions specifically from post-Independence & after the formation of Maharashtra state. It has been proved from various development indices & data from government & non-government sources. Agricultural backwardness and farmer suicides are still major concerns of underdevelopment, more in backward regions. The case of Vidarbha & Marathwada region has shown us the impact of political phenomena’s with correlation to overall development & prosperities. Essentially state needs overall development of its regions & citizens, rapidly & justifiably. |
