Abstract

This research examines the impact of Human Resource Management (HRM) on the advancement of environmental and social sustainability within organisational contexts. Sustainable Human Resource Management (SHRM) refers to a strategic framework that incorporates principles of environmental and social responsibility into the practises of Human Resource Management (HRM). The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between human resource management (HRM) practises and sustainability initiatives, as well as their influence on the overall performance of organisations. The research design for this study will utilise a mixed-methods approach, incorporating qualitative interviews with human resources professionals and quantitative analysis of organisational data. The results of this study will provide insights into the particular human resource management (HRM) strategies that facilitate environmental and social sustainability. Additionally, it will examine the obstacles encountered when implementing strategic HRM (SHRM) initiatives and the consequences of incorporating sustainability into HRM practises. The findings of this research have significant implications for organisations that aim to align their human resource management (HRM) practises with sustainability objectives. The study emphasises the crucial role of incorporating environmental and social factors into HRM strategies.
